Ducona has a fully automated production line that allows empty PET bottles to be immediately fitted with a loose 38mm cap after blowing. The cap is placed loosely on the bottle without breaking the tamper-evident seal. These capped bottles are then efficiently packed in boxes.
Most of these capped bottles are supplied to distribution centres of retailers who use them for orange juice machines in stores. Consumers can easily unscrew the cap and fill the bottle themselves with fruit juice or freshly squeezed orange juice.
In addition to retail customers, we also supply capped PET bottles to catering wholesalers and major caterers. These bottles are ideal for packaging fresh milk or orange juice at business lunches and buffets.
Because Ducona manufactures PET bottles itself, there is a wide choice of sizes and r-PET percentages. The standard capacities for self-fill bottles are:
These sizes can be supplied in different r-PET percentages up to 100%. The self-fill bottles are available with various cap colours, including transparent, orange, and black. The caps are designed to stay attached to the bottle after unscrewing, in accordance with current laws and regulations (tehtered caps).
Ducona can provide bottles for juice self-service machines with an in-line label. This allows the customer to add product information or their own design to the bottle. Labelling has advantages over printing, as it is done in-line at high speed and there is no product loss due to print failures.
The blowing, capping, and packing of the PET bottles is done entirely in a BRC AA+ certified production environment. This is the highest possible level within this certification, which ensures food-safe packaging production. The certification is maintained through regular, unannounced audits by an external certification body. All raw materials are food-contact certified.
Ducona creates extra (warehouse) space at customers’ premises by delivering just-in-time with smart inventory management.
Ordering on day A and delivery on day C is possible for contract partners.
In addition, we ensure the optimal box size is chosen in combination with the bottle, allowing as many bottles as possible to fit in a box and minimizing transport costs.
